Project Manager - Purchasing

The Project Manager - Purchasing is the key purchasing specialist in M+H internal project teams (= “One voice to project team”).
Coordinates project specific sourcing strategy and all purchasing related activities in a product or market project with cross-functional project team members, commodity, lead buyers, MGM.
Coordinates releases and launches of supplied material / parts / tools during the project phases (before SOP); incl. product data, documents and specifications together with the ASQ.
In global projects coordinates closely with responsible global project manager purchasing, ASQ and wherever applicable global ASQ.
Where applicable (and in alignment with commodity buyer & site manager) manage direct RFQs to suppliers incl. comparison of responses (Note: Final terms & conditions must be managed and approved by Commodity / Lead Buyer
Prepares and maintains project purchasing data sheet up to SOP (IPPDS), ensure correctness of documents in Sourcing Pipeline
Overall responsibility for meeting project related material cost targets, project timing (achievement of xSEP or WF milestones), quality of components and timely tracking of all necessary data & facts in applicable form sheets (e.g. FR) and tools.
Ensures and supervises project timing including all necessary work packages, APQP, pre-production / “0”-series, performance test, IMDS data, etc.
Bachelor/Master degree in Business Administration or related fields
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in purchasing in international environment
Experience in industrial companies or manufacturing enterprises, preferably in automotive sector
Experience in Project Management
Able to use Microsoft office tools and SAP
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
