Assembles large and heavy parts to complete units or subassemblies. Performs a variety of specialized assembly operations, such as riveting and welding. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other special equipment to perform assembly operations. May refer to technical drawings, engineering notices, etc. You will complete shop safety training & consistently demonstrate safe work habits. You will use cranes, hoists, power tools & hand tools properly and demonstrate acceptable housekeeping practices. In this position you will follow all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements; encourages action assuring safe behavior; confronts unsafe behavior and conditions proactively and positively. This position requires that you read & understand documents & drawings. It will be important that you can perform several tasks at once & follow direction or instruction. Under general supervision, performs repetitive or standard production assembly operations on mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. May use hand or power tools, jigs, and saws. May make continuity checks on completed assemblies and conduct quality inspections on processing line. Requires demonstrated proficiency.

You will have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read, write & speak English fluently and 2 years of experience in a similar role at a manufacturing company. You will be able to lift up to 50 pounds, in an extreme heat indoor/outdoor environment. You will be able to read drawings as well as diagrams and use hand tools.
