Bailey Systems is a growing IT Company servicing the Metropolitan Area (www.baileysystems.net). We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing customers and their technology environments. This person will also be the top tier escalation point for their colleagues within the organization. The Sr. Sys Engineer will be required to manage IT projects, keep well defined deadlines and documentation, work with vendors to resolve problems and automate maintenance. You will be responsible for recommending products and services to the customers before leading and assisting with the installation, documenting the work completed, and adhering to budgetary constraints. Customer relationships are key to our company's success, so professional communication, integrity, and honesty are required for every candidate.

The position requires a person who can manage an IT team and consultants and also perform project management. Strong written and oral skills are a must.

Key technologies the candidate will be responsible for are:

Microsoft Office 365 solutions, Microsoft Servers version 2008 thorough 2016. Desktop O/S Windows 7 - 10, PC configuration distribution tools (e.g., SysPrep, Ghost, SCCM), Hyper-V Server, VMware ESX/vSphere, TCP/IP Networking, SonicWALL security devices, Ubiquiti Unifi wireless, VLANs, smartphones from various vendors (e.g., iPhones, Android), and associated desktop management and synchronization software. MS Exchange 2010-2016. Outlook 2010-2016 including basic email troubleshooting and Office 365. AWS (Server Planning and Deployments) or other cloud service experience a plus. Security best practices, adhering to compliances such as HIPPA or DFARs.

Emphasis on Windows Systems and IP networking

Core Work:

- Planning for Customer IT management and top tier support of coworkers.
- Performing general IT support for commercial clients in the Metro area.
- Project management and tracking of project progress

Responsibilities

- Working closely with other engineers and technicians for escalation support
- Performing the architecture, installation, documentation, and quality control of project.
- Track project performance to ensure goals are being met
- Preparing cost estimates for a variety of different types of IT projects
- Utilize formal project change process and communicate changes with the company and the customer.
- Communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees
- Able to multi-task and handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Think critically and problem solve.
- Possess good communications, organizational, and time management skills.
- Work in a production data center environment that requires 100% up time
- Travel to customer sites within the Metro-DC area for work
- Professionally work with vendors and other service providers
- Work after hours or weekends to meet customer maintenance window requirements, work on projects in different time zones
