As we continue to scale our product offerings, services and markets, we need a Territory Account Manager in the Dallas area who can help us grow.
So, What is EquipmentShare?
While running their construction companies, brothers Willy and Jabbok Schlacks were frustrated with the options they had for renting equipment. Renting was expensive, but owning a piece of equipment was just as costly; plus, it came with long-term maintenance expenses. Contractors didn’t have good choices when it came to renting and owning equipment.
With more than 40 years of combined construction experience, they decided it was time to do things differently and build something, for once, for contractors. The brothers originally founded EquipmentShare as a peer-to-peer rental platform at Startup Weekend in Columbia, Missouri, in 2014 and proceeded to catapult their vision to market when they applied and were accepted into Y Combinator’s accelerator program in Mountain View, California, in 2015.
In just four years, EquipmentShare has greatly evolved as a business and expanded across the U.S. with our brick-and-mortar rental locations and we’ve captured customers in nearly every state with our cloud-connected telematics platform Track. EquipmentShare today continues the mission of fostering innovation in the dated construction industry.
The successful candidate will assist corporate counsel with day to day activities as needed. Ideally with experience in the Equipment Rental and/or financing industry. Responsible for gathering, preparing and summarizing relevant materials for use by the legal counsel.
The Corporate Paralegal will be responsible for reviewing and drafting agreements and assist with managing and ensuring compliance of the Company. Experience with applying for and maintaining business registrations and licenses and corporate compliance; review Master Lease Agreements, comply with lien notice and filing requirements and other duties assigned.
Assist General Counsel with drafting, reviewing and revising legal documents including master service agreements, equipment leases, equipment purchase agreements, real estate leases and employment contracts.
Manage tracking of contract reviews
Monitor compliance with contract requirements including by creating and maintaining central database of contract information
Assist General Counsel in overseeing compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations for all Company markets.
Manage licensing and compliance activities for new market setups including filing applications for business licenses and foreign entity qualifications, keeping track of deadlines and filing annual reports and licensing renewals.
Maintain Company’s legal files
Oversee lien notice filings and keep track of deadlines
Assist General Counsel with litigation matters by collecting and maintaining case files and responding to requests from outside counsel.
Assist with collections activities
Review legal invoices
Provide administrative support for General Counsel
Strong research skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization and handle numerous competing demands in a fast-paced working environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent at multi-tasking
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel and Power Point
Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification required
At least two years of corporate legal department or law firm experience required (Experience in equipment finance or rental industry is preferred)
