Working on the application side would be very minimal, but rather more focused on the Infrastructure side
Looking for a UNIX/VMware admin background
Also they should have the exposure to the operations side as well, so that they can understand the issue reported and they will know how to react and solve it
Incident management exp is not a must, we can train them on that
UNIX admin with emphasis on Linux/Solaris or VMware admin background with exposure to the operations side is required
Exp with monitoring tools is a plus, but we are not emphasizing more on it.
If they have the exp with the Monitoring tool, then they should be able to triage the incident and navigate the infrastructure using the monitoring tools
Should have good communication skills and the ability to speak confidently on the call with the management.
Prior financial exp in Fannie/Freddie is a plus
This candidate will not be a part of 24/7 on call support.
Overall 6 years of exp is required, but if they have more experience that's definitely helpful
