Description Summary

The position is responsible for performing basic, operational Human Resources tasks related to employee and manager events. Provides support for multiple areas of Human Resources and position is cross-trained for multiple areas of HR Shared Services. Serves as the first point of contact for Human Resources for both internal and external customers by answering inquires, providing information and referring to the appropriate area as necessary. Employee Shared Services will provide support on Human Resource systems, process and programs as well as processing all HR data transactions. This role is one of several on a HR Shared Services team. This role interacts with employees, managers and other HR professionals in answering questions related to HR data, self-service tools, and processes.

Accountabilities

Execute basic HR functions for employees and managers related to employee life cycle events.

Process workflow events (e.g., new hires, terminations, and job changes) by entering, updating and/or verifying appropriate associated data using various systems including SAP, Success Factors and others. HRIS.

Respond to employee and external questions received through inbound calls or emails; research questions and follow-up with the requestor as appropriate:

Use procedures, policy manuals, knowledgebase and other reference materials to assist in answering employee/manager inquiries and resolving issues.

Document incoming calls using a case management tool to resolve issues within identified service level agreements.

Execute transactions by interpreting, creating, auditing, recording, faxing, imaging/scanning and filing of documents. Maintains integrity and accuracy of records at all times.

Assess requestor’s need(s) and resolve with established service level agreements and according to procedures or escalate as appropriate.

Provide navigation support and troubleshooting to employees, managers and HR for a variety of HR systems including: SAP, Performance Management, Compensation Management, Applicant Tracking and time keeping.

Run weekly HR Reports.

Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on behalf of the HR Shared Services Center.

Maintains accurate documentation to support the self-service as well as other functions of shared services.

Maintains a working knowledge of process, policies, procedures, and practices.

Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

2 years of relevant HR experience.

Possess basic PC skills and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Possess excellent attention to detail, good organizational skills, problem solving skills and ability to anticipate concerns.

Ability to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information.

Customer service focus and strong interpersonal skills required.

Ability to consistently deliver high quality customer service in a professional manner.

Ability to work as a team member including the ability to be flexible with changing priorities based on the business need.

Ability to multi-task and effectively complete work amid distractions.

Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Preferred Requirements

Associates Degree Human Resource experience

Human Resource experience using a HRIS system i.e. SAP, online recruiting systems, or Success Factors

Basic knowledge of Adobe systems

Experience using multi-line phone system
