The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of experience managing a reception/front desk area, at least one year of experience in an Assisted Living community, basic knowledge of Dementia and Alzheimer’s, good computer skills, and excellent communication and customer service skills. In addition, he or she must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must meet the physical requirements of the position as listed. ESSENTIAL DUTES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dresses in a professional manner
Answers telephones and handles all inquiries according to company protocols
Greets visitors and prospects according to company protocol
Maintains approachable and friendly demeanor at all times
Helps the Activities Director maintain the appropriate log books at the front desk (Sign-In/Out Log, Guest Meals, Lunch Bunch, Outings, newspaper subscriptions, Beauty Shop appointments, etc.)
Controls music in the reception area
Maintains the announcement board
Orders Office Supplies when needed
Straightens the reception area
Receives, opens, dates and distributes all mail, Also handles all outing property correspondence
Monitors main entrance doors and medical alert system
Assist the Business Office Manager in Clerical and administrative work
Is Responsible for printing daily menus and chronicles
Is Responsible for updating the daily slide show (activities, menus, events, etc.)
Maintains an adequate supply of fully assembled marketing materials
Maintains an organized and clean work area
Maintains and keeps Resident’s FaceSheets updated
Handles Resident’s Transportation, Arranges and schedules appointments as requested
Helps the Business Office Manager with residential billing and other functions
Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
At least one year of experience managing a reception/front desk area
At least one year of experience in an assisted living community
Basic knowledge of Dementia and Alzheimer’s
Must be able to pass a drug screening and criminal background check
Fluent English speaking and writing skills
Confident communicator with strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships/rapport and deal tactfully with residents, families, and visitors and to develop appropriate customer service with staff, leadership, vendors, providers, and any other third party or community contacts
Able to speak distinctly and communicate in a friendly, upbeat manner in person and via the telephone; professional, results oriented communication skills; and able to maintain rapport while achieving results is required
Strong organization skills with a proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time in order to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Must be resident focused with strong customer service skills
Able to follow spoken and written instructions
Genuine desire to work with the elderly and/or disabled
An up-beat and engaging personality
Strong computer and internet skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Able to follow all company policies and procedures as well as internal departmental procedures
Able to work independently as well as part of a team to complete daily tasks

Able to attend required in-service trainings and staff meetings
Full use of the following senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch

Able to work holidays including, but not limited to, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day
Able to work a variable and flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Able to stay beyond scheduled shift in the event of emergency or inclement weather
