Candidates for this position must possess an extensive background in advertising and/or marketing, a passion for advertising technology and experience with managing people. S/he has experience with digital ad buying platforms and advertising metrics. The ideal candidate has experience as a Senior Account Executive, Account Director, Digital Media Director, Senior Media Buyer or similar position at an ad agency. This candidate may also come from an AdTech company in an execution-focused management position. This candidate has experience leading a team and driving incremental growth within accounts.
LumenAd’s Account Director position is directly responsible for developing strategic opportunities into long-standing, profitable relationships through effective leadership. This position oversees a team of Account Managers and Account Coordinators who will be the primary day-to-day execution team on a group of individual media accounts. A successful Account Director will provide clear direction and strategic insight to empower the team to thrive within each individual account. The Account Director will maintain close relationships with clients, but will not be focused on day-to-day communications.

Experience with digital advertising, advertising metrics, and ad buying platforms
Proven leadership experience 2+ Years
A proven track record of managing and growing client accounts efficiently and effectively - 4+ years
Total comfort with technology, data analysis, financial and basic mathematical calculations
Ability to clearly delegate duties, timelines and follow up to ensure projects are moving forward efficiently
Experience in customer facing role - 4+ years
Experience working and managing a cross-functional team
Ability to develop and iterate on company processes and a keen eye for scalable solutions
Ability to tell stories with data
Ability to have direct, honest conversations with employees and/or clients
Superlative oral and written communication skills
Comfortability in new business or business growth pitches
Ensure team members have the tools necessary to deliver on campaign objectives and develop partnerships.
Train and develop team members.
Publish any necessary training documentation to ensure developmental scale.
Day to day management of a team of Account Managers and Account Coordinators.
Manage the staffing needs of your team, including hiring, discipline, and general personnel issues Ability to manage a portion of the departmental budget while keeping an eye out for opportunities to run lean.
Directly responsible for ensuring the retention and growth of client portfolio through effective management.
Identify efficiencies and improve the profitability of the business through effective management of media costs, accuracy, automation, and resources.
Act as the key strategist for campaign initiatives.
Collaborate with the product development team to influence the design of new features and prioritize feature improvements in LumenAd’s Media Management Platform.
Stay abreast of new solutions, technologies, and opportunities in the AdTech space
Proposal development and presentation for business development pitches
Travel to client when necessary.
