BR&T Materials & Manufacturing Technology is looking for a Paints & Coatings engineer for our Chemical Technology group. Responsibilities will have an emphasis on supporting the development, demonstration and transition of innovative coating technologies.

The successful candidate will be: energetic; driven; handy in the lab; able to work under close supervision with directions for routine work; and able to work special projects with detailed instruction. The selected applicant will assist with the design of test set-ups, obtain data, and provide solutions to a variety of technical research problems. They will contribute to the completion of specific project milestones; and their results, decisions, and recommendations will be used to ensure that the projects stay on-time and on-budget.

Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Required Qualifications:
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering, Materials Science/Engineering or other related engineering discipline by June 2019
  • Experience in a lab environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with chemical processes
  • Industry experience working in an analytical chemistry laboratory
