Citizens Campaign for the Environment (CCE) is hiring campaign staff to help defend aquatic life and maintain protections for our marine national monuments. Work with us long term, or just over your summer break, to promote environmentally friendly initiatives and make an impact on long term sustainability in CT.

New England’s Coastal Canyons and Seamounts is a rare underwater monument located about 150 miles off Cape Cop and covering an area about the size of the state of Connecticut. This deep-water region is home to an incredible abundance of sea life including rare, centuries old corals, squid, fin-fish and marine mammals, including the endangered sperm whale and the rare North Atlantic right whale. Unfortunately, this underwater wonder is one of several National Monuments in jeopardy of being opened to industry as part of the federal government’s attack on our public lands. Join us in our fight and help us keep dangerous commercial activities, such as offshore drilling and seabed mining, away from this rare and precious national monument.

We are looking for interns and entry level employees to join our staff over the summer that have a passion for environmental or social justice issues, non-profit work, or politics and possess strong oral and written communication skills. If this is you, apply today!Ideal candidates will have previous campaign experience, but we are willing to train the right people.
