Fox Chapel Publishing is seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate in our onsite distribution center in Mount Joy, PA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Scans merchandise into software and verifies quantity ordered
· Follows customers routing guides and completes bill of ladings
· Consolidates invoices to minimize freight costs
· Replenishes pick bins and consolidates bulk merchandise as needed
· Unpacks and inspects all inbound merchandise.
· Receives good and bad inventory back to stock.
· Using RF scanner gun, walk through warehouse and select correct items/quantity efficiently.
· Report backordered merchandise to management and identify and report quantity variances.
· Efficiently pack customer orders for shipment, including weighing and repacking if necessary.
· Build required packaging based on product size and create and affix labels on shipment materials.
· Identifies and tags merchandise for put away.
· Uses invoices to select correct merchandise and quantity from bin locations.
· Wraps and palletize merchandise for shipment
· Maintain high-level of safety awareness; provides safety feedback constructively
· Operates power equipment (electric pallet jack and order picker) in a safe manner.
· Reports any equipment issues and accidents immediately.
· Explores backorder statuses and strategic put away based on velocity.
· Participates in daily inventory “cycle counting.”
· Assists other staff with questions and helps to find a solution to complete the task at hand.
· Other duties as seen necessary by the Warehouse Manager
· Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), as well as one to three years warehouse or fulfillment center experience. One to three years’ forklift experience required. At least one years’ experience operating turret truck preferred.

Physical Demands:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, stoop, and reach with hands and arms (above shoulder height and below the waist), climb and balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, talk, hear and smell.
· The employee must lift/move up to 35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. The employee must be able to walk for extended periods of time. Proper lifting techniques and adherence to safety guidelines is required.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus and be able to distinguish full visual color spectrum.
· May be required to wear protective clothing in the performance of assigned tasks.
Work Environment:
The primary work environment is a warehouse and shipping areas. At certain times, temperatures may fluctuate. The noise level is generally moderate but can become loud at times.
Language and Communication Skills:
Can read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language. Regularly communicates with manager, co-workers, other departments, and delivery personnel.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic math skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Computer Skills:
Basic in MicrosoftWord, Excel; others as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
