Seeking machinists with CNC programming skills and experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and/or manufacturing of high precision parts, including but not limited to the set-up and operation of the machine tool, part inspection, routine preventative maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to download, read and edit conversational and/or EIA programs, including speeds, feeds and offsets.
Understanding and utilization of CNC controllers and structure, including arc limitations, subprograms and applications.
Experience with cut and paste programming on CNC machine tools.
Experience with machine tool set-up and tool selection, including understanding of work holding devices.
Understanding of macro programming, editing of fixture offsets, and first part inspection.
Adapt cutting cycle or machining processes to accommodate for soft/hard material and core shift irregularities
Experience with performing operations on at least one of the following:
CNC Lathe, including facing, boring, drilling, single point threading and grooving.
CNC Mill, including roughing and finishing, face milling, end milling, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, counter sinking, counter boring and chamfering.
Utilization of tool selection and changes, identifying materials characteristics, cutting fluids and tools, and tooling materials.
Math and computer skills, including basic calculator functions including conversions, determination of drill point lengths and depths, degrees of circumference and angles, and geometric shapes.
Knowledge and application of concentricity, roundness, parallelism and other print specifications.
Experience with choosing and applying measuring equipment, such as OD/ID mics, calipers, height, snap and bore gages, optical and mueller gages.
Understanding of calibration and geometric tolerances.
Professional communication and problem solving skills.
ISO and software systems experience.
Understanding of safety, quality and continuous improvement expectations in a manufacturing environment.
Team member experience.
Must be able to work nights and/or weekends.
