This role is an integral part of a major initiative to enable the US Gasbusiness by improving how our employees serve our customers today and bycreating the platform for tomorrow’s growth. As a member of the centralized Testingteam you will help embed the Testing strategies, standards, tools andmethodologies by which the company delivers this and future business enablementprograms. The selected candidate willsupport functional teams in 1) their use of testing tools and 2) theirdevelopment of test cases and scenarios.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Work collaboratively with scrum teams to assist them in thesuccessful deployment and operation of systems.
Build, configure and maintain tools for manual and automatedtesting to be used by functional testers.
Assist software functional teams by providing guidanceand oversight of testing business processes and technical functionality.
Participate in developing and leading a QA/Testing CoP,including researching new tools and techniques for continual evolution of theQA/Testing practice.
Develop test plans, schedules, procedures and providetools needed to enable functional teams to meet their testing requirements.
Develop and deploy testingapproaches and methodologies to ensure delivery of quality software.
Develop and deliver timelyand accurate program-level testing status reports and communicate results tovarious management levels within the organization.
Engage closely with scrum teams as QA governance toverify user story/epic acceptance criteria and test cases provide thoroughpositive and negative testing throughout the development lifecycle.
Coordinate and facilitate End-to-End program testingand identify, document, and appropriately escalate defects found duringexecution of test cases/scenarios.
Work with Product Ownersand scrum teams to gain an understanding of products and features and provideleadership in designing test scenarios with focus on quality.
Develop, maintain and execute automated test cases andscenarios based on the manual test cases developed by scrum teams.
Ensureautomated tests are written according to best practices such that crucialfunctional requirements are verified and tests remain valid as code evolves
Knowledge & Experience Required:
BS in a relevant discipline or anequivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Proven track record ofsuccessfully contributing to large scale programs.
Highly-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Proven collaboration, influencing and relationship building skills.
Ability to work within and acrossteams.
Ability to communicate to seniorleadership team on overall program testing status; as that is the one area thatwe often find issue when it comes to testing.
3-5 years working with integrated and/or automated testing tools.
Preferexperience with HP/Micro Focus ALM & UFT and Selenium.
1-2 years of experience testing with mobile devices a plus.
Experience in testing program oversight, influencing functional testersin their development of test cases and scenarios.
Familiarity with Scaled Agile frameworks.
Experience working with scrum teams.
Coding or scripting experience in any language or product, includingExcel.
Working knowledge of Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)methodology.
Prefer experiencewith Jira and Confluence
Understanding of QA and testing principles that ensure user requirementsare met through structured testing techniques.
