The person hired for the position of Maintenance Mechanic II will Install, maintain, and repair machinery & equipment, physical structures, piping and instrument and/or electrical systems as required to support production. This job will also require the operation and maintenance of the plant utility systems which includes steam boilers, air compressors, fire protection, electrical generator and water purification.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
Maintain good housekeeping
Identify and intervene on unsafe acts
Perform routine repair tasks on production equipment with minimal guidance according to specific procedures such as manufacturer repair guides, shop standards, and supervisory or engineering instructions
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
Perform essential duties to repair machinery, piping instruments and electrical devices in a timely manner
Complete department tasks as required
Utilize plant computer systems and perform data entry
Maintain good equipment records
Occasional vessel entry may be required
Must be a licensed fork truck driver
Attain and maintain certification on multiple skills and procedures required within the department. Some certifications must be with State agencies
Respond to all callouts as scheduled as well as in the event of an emergency
Comply with hazardous waste management in accordance with federal and state regulations
Participate in daily SQDC board updates, as well as actively participate in 5S and 5D problem solving activities within the shift; actively participates in the Lean Management System
This position will require:
- Must have regular and predictable attendance at work
Working on holidays as needed
Short notice shift coverage
Working 1st shift
Within two (2) years must obtain a journeyman license from the State of Oklahoma in at least one of the following: “limited mechanical HVAC, Unlimited mechanical HVAC, Process Piping, Refrigeration, or Electrical. This license must be maintained current.
Frequent physical demands, including:
lifting up to 50 lbs.
climb stairs and ladders
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
Possess a Journeyman license and/or minimum five (5) years of experience in one of the following fields: pipefitter, welder, electrician, instrument/electronics technician, HVAC-R, and/or millwright.
Proficient at routine maintenance activities, such as repairs to pumps, piping, and general facility infrastructure
Is not authorized
Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M employment testing as a part of the selection process.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
