What This Job is About:
The Producer, Events & Festivals is an integral role in the Production department managing the operations and logistics on multiple events, activations and festivals for our clients throughout the year. This role must work closely with all departments including Partner Services, Venues & Sponsorship, Strategy, Creative, Finance, and Talent. The Producer is involved in the ideation, creation, and maintenance of all assets that are utilized in our events, activations and festivals ranging from banners and signage to rentals, mobile offices and fabricated assets. The role includes developing concepts, procurement, budgeting, catering, managing staff, and coordinating technical and production requirements.
The ideal candidate for this Producer role has a strong passion and aptitude in live event and festival production. Success in this role requires proficiency in large scale festivals / event operations, product launches, stunts, or tradeshows. Knowledge of maintenance on large structures as well as some production of small to medium activation elements is preferred. A solid knowledge in asset design, development, and fabrication techniques is a major priority along with the ability to assist in the mechanical design to maintain structural integrity in various indoor and outdoor environments. This person must enjoy and have a strong ability to think on their feet, troubleshoot quickly, and be able to continuously solve problems to the satisfaction of the client. This position also requires being highly organized in event and logistics management and building long-lasting relationships with both clients and vendors.
This position is a long-term contract role through October 2023 with potential of full-time. Expectation is to help provide guidance and mentorship to production team reporting directly to Director, Events & Festivals. We work as ONE TEAM and are looking to add positive contributors to help the growth of our organization.
You will:

Participate in strategy and creative ideation sessions, understand and clearly translate creative ideas into detailed activation plans.

Develop production schedules, run of shows, project related production documents, and organization of pertinent information.

Source vendors, negotiate contracts and fees, manage bidding and estimates, abide by company billing and invoicing terms, and policies; clearly communicate any scope changes that affect budget.
- Work cross-functionally (internally and externally) to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are identified, managed, and met.
- Supervise production and fabrication of program elements, safeguarding quality control.

Participate in logistics, transport & shipping, loading & unloading, securing and maintaining vehicles, DOT compliance and reporting, inventory, storage & warehousing.

Provide onsite event management, including direction of labor staff, vendor main point of contact, procuring required equipment, schedule load-in/out, oversee set-up & strike, logistics, warehousing, wrap-up & debrief.

Working with the key account team members, manage program budget.
- Ensure budget and PO systems are up-to-date on your assigned programs.
What You’re All About:

5-7 years of experience in events, festivals or experiential marketing, preferably in a production, logistics, or field role.

Superior attention to detail, organization, and time management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.

Growth mindset, seeking to improve process, projects, the team and outcomes.
- Experience utilizing project management software systems preferred. Experience with Asana and One Plan are a bonus.

Ability to use hand tools as well as power tools to help repair/create assets.

Basic knowledge in OSHA compliance.

General computer skills and working knowledge in Microsoft Office suite.

Ability to travel approximately 40-50% of your time at RedPeg.
