1.1. Description of Services/Introduction: The U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) is responsible for training over 500,000 Soldiers and service members each year through its 32 Army schools, organized under eight Centers of Excellence, and aligned under six major subordinate centers and commands. The scope of TRADOC’s mission is broad and complex, requiring implementation of key emerging and constantly evolving capabilities to support business processes, collaboration, and knowledge management across the full spectrum of headquarters operations. Additionally, TRADOC has a requirement to disseminate general information about itself and its subordinate commands to the public. To meet these requirements, TRADOC utilizes the TRADOC Knowledge Environment (TKE), a Microsoft SharePoint platform, Web Application hosting as well as manages public facing websites.
Contract support is required to: 1) work with a wide range of supported customers across TRADOC to identify, develop and implement innovative approaches to leverage the full range of existing and emerging SharePoint/Application hosting capabilities to improve and sustain current/custom applications and address emerging business process requirements across TRADOC activities; 2) develop best-practice strategies and project plans to migrate services to government and/or commercial cloud service providers; 3) operate and maintain on-premise and cloud-based TKE systems and websites.
