Position Summary:
The Channel Finance Analyst II supports channel finance internal channel customers and the Sales Vice Presidents in improving the profitability of MBCI’s business by providing quality analysis and decision support. This position is responsible for monitoring customer program accruals and period selling supporting Sales team in new business assessment and participating in the routine Channel Finance budget / forecasting / closing activities.

Organizational Relationship:
This position will report to the Supervisor - Channel Finance.

Accountabilities:
Monitor customer rebate programs
Provide input to the accrual with current program offerings and customer parameters
Maintain balance sheet reserves with accuracy and integrity (minimal)
Complete required monthly reconciliations
Provide Sales team with monthly expense reporting detail
Send monthly reports and address any questions/concerns
Support Sales team in new business assessment and prepare pro-forma analysis
Work with broader areas (Logistics / Cost Accounting) to ensure accuracy in pro-forma generation
Perform budget forecasting and month-end closing tasks
Provide Finance Concur support according to Compliance standards
Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets of sales and expenses
Complete monthly closing package and present to senior management
Complete monthly Channel financial package
Prepare journal entries including: Program Amortization No-Charge and Various Program Reclass entries
Prepare quarterly profitability reporting

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written

Education & Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Business Finance or Accounting required
Position requires a solid working knowledge of accounting procedures involving both balance sheet and income statement
Experience with standard costs in a manufacturing environment would be a plus
Advanced MS Excel skill set is required and data base applications (Access etc.) is preferred
