Housekeeping Worker

Virginia Southern VA Mental Health Inst - Danville, VA


Duties will include a variety of housekeeping tasks such as: cleaning, vacuuming, floor buffing, dusting, emptying trash cans, sweeping, and supplying bathrooms. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful applicant will have general knowledge of housekeeping procedures. Must have demonstrated ability to be trained to operate housekeeping equipment (vacuum, buffer, floor scrubber, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in institutional cleaning. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Special Requirements
The successful applicant must pass a criminal fingerprint background investigation, CPS search, drug screening test and employment reference check. The applicant must have the ability to perform at the level of physical demands noted on the Employee Work Profile and the verified ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
