CoreCivic is currently recruiting for a Purchasing Intern to join the team at our Facility Support Center location in Brentwood, TN.
The Purchasing Intern, P/T will assist with specific temporary projects as assigned by the department. Working with seasoned staff, will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience as well as achieve personal, academic and career growth. This is a part-time position that regularly works less than 30 hours per week.
The successful applicant should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
Inputs text accurately and produces finished documents efficiently using word processing and spreadsheet programs on a computerized system; copies, compiles and distributes as necessary.
Compiles, inputs or types a variety of statistical records and reports; using electronic spreadsheet, sets up and accurately maintains complex statistical information and data files.
Assists with data analysis and/or research projects as directed.
Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive information both inside and outside the company.
Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
Two years of qualifying experience, preferably in a similar position.
Additional qualifying education at an accredited college, business school, or technical institute with coursework in an applicable related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
A valid driver's license is preferred.
