CREATION Health employees serves the employees of Florida Hospital by designing and implementing services that advance the CREATION Health Culture of the organization as well promotes mind, body, spirit health of all employees. Examples of CREATION Health Employee initiatives include our Energy for Performance and CREATION Health education classes, Mission 5k, Weight watchers and partnership with WebMD. Our team serves the needs of all campuses and has its main offices in Maitland.
8-5pm some nights and weekends, varies; Monday – Friday
The Educator’s primary responsibility is teaching and delivering education, messages, and information to Florida Hospital employees under the CREATION Health framework in order to advance the culture of health. The Educator is responsible for teaching and implementing programs to include CREATION Health education and other programs supporting mind, body, and spiritual health based on the eight concepts of CREATION. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Knowledge, Skills, Education, & Experience Required:
Understanding of worksite health promotion principles
Solid understanding of CREATION Health principles
Executive level presentation/facilitation skills
Ability to deliver presentations to small and large groups
Proficient in the use of the following Microsoft software programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands
Solid understanding of lifestyle-related health and behavioral health issues
An understanding of effective behavior change principles
Bachelor’s degree in Health, Psychology, Education, Human or Organizational Development
Two to three years of experience teaching wellness-related information in a variety of settings
More than three years of experience in teaching wellness programs (Preferred)
Two to three years of experience in classroom instruction, facilitation and teaching (Preferred)
Master’s degree in relevant discipline such as Health, Psychology, Education, Human or Organizational Development (Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
Current CPR certification
Demonstrates through behavior Florida Hospital’s Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship and Teamwork as outlined in the organization’s Performance Excellence Program
Facilitates and instructs employees though the entire scope of CREATION Health Employee Education programs contributing to advancement of CREATION Health culture within Florida Hospital.
Assists with the implementation of all CREATION Health Employees’ educational programs.
Partners with other Florida Hospital departments to teach programs, as requested, to foster CREATION Health culture throughout organization though program evaluations.
Performance Improvement responsibility – Assists in the collection of data to ensure quality and consistency of CREATION Health Employees’ educational programs.
Provides input and feedback to Education Manager and CREATION Health Employee Experience Coordinator to help improve content of all CREATION Health Education Programs.
Community Relations responsibility - Organizes CREATION Health involvement in select community events to support the CREATION Health initiatives for employees and the community.
Attends and supports entire scope of education programs through CREATION Health Employees as requested.
