Job Description:
Associate Director of Admission: Under the general direction of the Director of Admission the Associate Director of admission assists in all aspects of the admissions and recruitment process. The Associate Director of Admissions will recruit for and administer admissions processes for all Alliant degree programs. This position is responsible for managing inquiries and making contact with prospective students via telephone or email, in addition to conducting student interviews.
The Associate Director of Admissions must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and relate well to prospective and continuing students as well as administration, faculty, and staff. The incumbent must excel in relationship-building and organizational skills, be able to multitask, work independently and as a team player, and have an aptitude for detail oriented tasks.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is not an exhaustive task list but a list which provides the candidate with an idea of job expectations.
1. Provide counseling and overall customer service to prospective students via telephone, e-mail and campus visits.
2. Maintain ongoing communication with applicants throughout the admissions process, tracking all communications using Sales Force and Jenzabar CX, when applicable.
3. Help to mentor, train and manage new and existing admissions counselors. Help to ensure a quality student experience through student appointment and call observations.
4. Assist in the development, maintenance and execution of the department's communication plan to prospective and admitted students.
5. Travel both locally and nationally on behalf ofthe college for recruitment and other college related events
6. Develop and maintain close working relationships with key secondary school constituents.
7. Support the Director of Admissions at all campuses.
8. Assist in the development and maintenance of the admissions office's recruitment and marketing plan with the purpose of promoting the College's visibility and general recruitment efforts.
9. Develop and implement a referral strategy for the admission's department.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred.

Experience:
3-5 years of experience in admissions.

Essential Job Functions:
Meet individual and school application, enrollment, and retention targets (balanced scorecard weighted toward applications and conversion)
Meet external and internal compliance standards
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, SalesForce or similar customer relations management system, and experience with integrated business software systems in higher education, including relational databases
Superb recruitment skills
Excellent customer service commitment with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders and the public

Management Skills:
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to implement and assess effectiveness of admissions plans and programs
Creativity, innovation, and the ability to work collaboratively with key constituencies to implement an admissions and recruitment process, and develop best practices for improvement
Working knowledge of graduate admissions process, recruitment concepts and strategies on relationship development and management
Excellent supervisory skills to manage workloads and guide decisions about prioritizing multiple demands, for a team of campus-based admissions and recruitment coordinators.
Strong planning and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement short-term plans during staff transitions

Supervisor Responsibilities:
Supervise team of campus based admissions counselors and support staff.
