We are currently seeking a Surgery Scheduler located in our Concord, NC location.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedules in/out-patient consultations, procedures and surgeries for Providers
  • Maintains appropriate paperwork and documentation processes for surgical procedure scheduling
  • Coordinates surgical appointments with schedulers from other specialties (i.e. anesthesia)
  • Contacts patient's PCP's or Cardiologists for surgical clearance prior to procedure
  • Collects and sends necessary paperwork/lab results prior to surgery and sends to appropriate Surgical Center
  • Calls in prescriptions to pharmacies for patients
  • Responds to patient inquires concerning financial responsibility
  • Reschedules procedures as necessary
  • Acts as a back-up to Test Scheduler and Front Office Staff, as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years previous medical office experience
  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, staff members and Physicians
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

Experience:

  • medical office: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Surgery Scheduling: 1 year (Required)
