Position Summary: Under the direction of the RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care. Unified by the core purpose of creating a healthier community one person at a time, the members of the Division of Patient Care Services commit themselves to sustaining a culture where students care bravely as they focus on achieving optimal patient outcomes. With guidance and oversight of the Registered Nurse, performs basic nursing care/ADLs and other duties to support the daily care of the patient. Observes patient for reaction to treatments, change in status and immediately reports changes to appropriate personnel. Fosters good communication with patients, families, nurses, and other team members. Assists in the admissions, discharge or transfer of a patient in accordance with policy and procedure.
Requirements: American Heart Association CPR Certification CNA Certification required. Actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have completed nursing fundamentals; entry level knowledge; basic employment skills. Nursing Student only –actively enrolled full time in a school of nursing
