As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors — from fraud detection, to cancer research, to national intelligence — you know the answers are in the data.
We have an opportunity for you to use your leadership and analytical skills to improve Department of Defense data analytics and data strategy implementation. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll mentor teammates, develop algorithms, write scripts, build predictive analytics, use automation, apply machine learning, explore the most appropriate data and cloud strategies for clients and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help senior leaders with OSD and the Services and Reserve Components to make informed decisions. You’ll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it in the areas of predictive readiness analytics.

You Have:
- 3+ years of experience as a data scientist, data analyst, or data strategist
- Experience with the DoD for the application of advanced analytics
- Knowledge of DoD and Army personnel, medical systems, and data methods
- Knowledge of DoD and Army Data and Cloud Computing strategies
- Ability to apply expertise in Army and Army Reserve Components and their data challenges with advanced data science techniques to improve soldier readiness, resiliency, and deployment
- Secret clearance
- BA or BS degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with multiple DoD, Army, Reserve Component Human Resources, and Medical systems and databases
- Knowledge of OSD and Army readiness and deployability requirements
- Ability to assist clients with comprehending their data challenges and recommend data driven decision analytics to support mission needs
- Top Secret clearance
- MA or MS degree
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) Certification
