Description of Duties/Essential Functions
Under administrative direction, directs the operations of the State Central Register Call Floor for an assigned shift; plans, supervises, reviews, and coordinates the activities of professional child welfare staff engaged in the receipt, evaluation, and documentation of reports of child abuse and neglect; serves as full line supervisor of subordinate professional staff; establishes and implements an SCR-based program of staff development and training for subordinate staff; evaluates and approves reports of calls received; reviews reports for accuracy and completeness of information and compliance with Department policy; approves and disapproves requests from hospitals and physicians throughout the state for permission to provide medical treatment to youth in care; verifies legal status of children.
Requires a master's degree in social work from a recognized college or university and three years administrative child welfare/protection experience or a master's degree in an acceptable human services field from a recognized college or university and four years administrative child welfare/protection experience; requires ability to work mandatory overtime.

Anticipated Starting Salary: $6,667 - $7,500/month
This is not a bargaining unit position. CBA does not apply.
Full salary range: $3,116 - $9,765/month
Hours: Rotation B 12:00am - 8:30am
