GSA Contracts Sales Representative

Time and Alarm Systems is an industry leader in the integration and implementation of low voltage systems including fire alarm, security, CCTV, access control, intercom/mass notification, computer networking and audio/visual systems for the construction market in Southern California.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, highly professional Government Sales Representative who will be responsible for obtaining GSA/Government sales utilizing Time and Alarm’s GSA contract. The successful candidate must be willing to work with our sales engineer and design team to secure product and service sales/contracts in the federal government market.

Job objectives include but not limited to:
Generate new sales opportunities with government clients utilizing company GSA schedule.
Create goals and objectives for targeting government customers to maximize sales growth.
Able to understand construction design documents, drawings, and specifications as needed.
Create and maintain construction and contract documents relative to government/GSA schedule, projects, and contracts.
Provide administrative, sales, and follow up support to internal sales and project management teams regarding government/GSA projects and contracts.
Serve as a company representative at major industry events, conferences, and/or trade shows.
Promote product knowledge by setting up meetings and offering product demonstrations to government customers.
Manage all bids, solicitations, proposals, and quotations related to GSA and government divisions.
Be responsible to understand government/GSA ‘Terms & Conditions’, and any special requirements on bids and solicitations.
Work with sales engineering team to review quotes to make sure we are in compliance with regulations.

Requirements:
Understanding of government and GSA contracting including account structures, procurement processes, RFPs, and standard bid requests.
Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, cost proposal and project bid software.
Possess forward-thinking and proactive attitude.
Strong verbal and written skills. Candidate must be able to demonstrate a sense of leadership in negotiations and critical thinking.
Ability to work in a team environment or individually with little direct supervision.
Good driving record and able to produce a valid driver’s license and insurance.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
