Position Overview:
As our Human Resources Generalist, you will play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining our employee experience. This position requires a compassionate, detail-oriented, and proactive individual who can handle a variety of HR functions while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Manage biweekly payroll processing, ensure accuracy in timekeeping, PTO requests, and withholdings.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee health insurance renewals for our employee groups, including ACA reporting and compliance.
- Employee Relations: Address day-to-day HR inquiries, providing support and guidance to employees on various issues, from payroll questions to workplace concerns.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead recruitment efforts, including developing a more centralized hiring process, onboarding new employees, and assisting managers with training and development programs.
- Performance Management: Implement proactive performance management strategies, conducting regular personnel reviews, and working with managers to address performance issues.
- Employee Engagement: Develop and manage employee engagement initiatives, such as newsletters and other communication efforts, to foster a positive work environment.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and HR regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably with experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, and recruitment.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Empathy and compassion in dealing with employee concerns.
- Ability to balance the needs of the business with the well-being of employees.
- Proficiency with HRIS or ATS software, preferably Paycor, is a plus.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not required if you have relevant experience.
