Compiles and maintains administrative and clerical work related to Counseling Center activities by performing the following duties. This is a part time 25-28 hours/10 month position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
1. Screen, process, and distribute incoming calls and correspondence.
2. Greet and direct clients.
3. Schedule counselors/clients, rooms, resources.
4. Maintain confidentiality at all times and at all levels.
5. Create and maintain files and databases.
6. Assist with departmental surveys.
7. Present a positive, supportive image of the Counseling Center and the University.
8. Make photocopies of correspondence or other printed materials.
9. Helps organize and maintain file system, and file correspondence and other records.
10. Answer general questions regarding the Counseling Center and/or programs.
11. Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
This position could be responsible for assigning work and/or giving direction to part-time Student Workers, in order to complete office work assignments.

Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.

Education and/or Experience
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiences.
