Next Century invites you to join their quest to create a phenomenal outreach team that supports users, developers and government leads that develop and depend on cutting-edge, life-saving, mission-critical software. The outreach team will comprise writers, trainers and outreach coordinators who are comfortable engaging with users and troubleshooting their problems; updating API and user-facing instructional guides; creating training materials and giving presentations. If you excel in any of these areas, let’s chat. There are several positions. Not everyone will be responsible for each task. Specific roles include:

Technical Writers
Responsibilities

Create/maintain software documentation including user guides, how-to documents, release notes and presentations
Create/maintain API documentation, data flow diagrams, SOPs and test procedures
Prepare reports, responses and briefings for various audiences
Desired skills/experience

Comfortable using Confluence, MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
Experience maintaining a documentation library
Strong command of the English language and plain language guidelines
Ability to meet deadlines and communicate with users, developers and stakeholders
Experience in an agile work environment
Active TS/SCI with polygraph

Tier 1 Support (Outreach Coordinators)

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and provide initial support for a variety of software issues
Answer help questions via a ticketing queue, phone, email and instant messenger
Identify bugs and user trends, then document those issues and comfortably interact with developers to explain user issues
Maintain a knowledge base of common ticket responses
Gather requirements and share them with leadership
Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Desired skills/experience

Experience working in customer service or user support for a software product, preferably in a classified environment
Experience using JIRA and Confluence
Ability to create and maintain a knowledge base
Background as analyst/reporting/linguist

Trainers

Responsibilities

Create and maintain training courses for various software products
Teach new users and brief existing users about various software products and new features via in-person presentations and video teleconferences as well as individualized walkthroughs
Gather feedback and communicate user requests and concerns to product owners and development teams
Serve as product evangelist for a number of products-market, brand, explain the awesomeness
Active TS/SCI with polygraph
Desired skills/experience

Experience creating training materials and ease presenting
Excellent skills using MS Word, PowerPoint and screen capturing software
Ability to work as an intermediary who communicates between users, developers and product owners
