Project Engineer
- Relationship Management
- Understand our customers’ needs and make sure customer scope, schedule, quality expectations are communicated to our field teams.
- Negotiate win-win projects with new and existing customers
- Attend progress meetings and pre-con meetings as necessary
- Building effective project teams inside Degan
- Contract Management
- Review Contracts/POs for All Assigned Projects (PM to sign if it’s a customer who Degan has a relationship with. If it is a new customer, VP to review as well)
- Provide all necessary contract documents to customer at the time of award, during construction, and project closeout.
- Insurance, CCIP/OCIP, Prevailing Wage, TERO, Safety Plan, Warranty, Project Contact Info, Bond requests, Etc.
- Obtains necessary paperwork from the customer – executed contract, tax exempt paperwork, etc.
- Provide schedule(s) to customer as required – CPM & Short Interval
- Submits Pay Application to Customer as required
- Forecasts Billing on invoicing spreadsheet
- Change Orders – communicates scope clearly to superintendent. Makes sure we’re compensated for work that is outside our scope. Settles any disputes with the customer relative to scope of work. Responsible for communicating schedule impacts/extensions, cost impacts, delay notices to customers.
- T&M sheets are turned in as required by customer on T&M projects or change orders that are done on T&M
- Subcontractor Management – Issues Subcontract, Insurance, W-9, Etc.
- Submittals & Submittal Log
- RFI & RFI Log
- Verifies Project Expenses/Budget Management
- Project Execution Oversight
- Prepares project debriefs – internal pre-con & Hand off, during, & post – depending on the size/scope of job
- If we have a job with PM & PE it is responsibility of PM to divide tasks out for project team

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
