Job Summary:

We are looking for a Receptionist to join our Petersen Aluminum plant in Annapolis Junction, MD. At our manufacturing facilities, we value continuous learning, innovation, and safety. The Receptionist will be responsible for answering a multi-line telephone and will also provide administrative support for the office. The Receptionist will be responsible for providing internal and external customers with the highest level of customer service.

Schedule: 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday- Friday

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and direct callers to the appropriate Petersen Aluminum employee
  • Provide every caller with the opportunity to speak to a Petersen employee if desired
  • Greet visitors, sign them into the office, and notify the appropriate employee of their arrival.
  • Sort, Scan & verify daily Shipping manifest and incoming mail
  • Verify billing
  • Manage UPS & USPS shipments
  • Verify, organize and scan accounts payable invoices
  • File
  • Fill sample order requests
  • Package and ship all outgoing mail and shipments using approved vendors
  • Responsible for maintaining an inventory of shipping supplies.
  • Responsible for the appearance and presentation of the Reception area.
  • Maintains Outlook.
  • Takes the lead with organizing office events (such as lunch orders).
  • Enhance the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value
  • Assist Office Manager with projects.
  • Perform administrative assistant duties for the office.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Full Performance Knowledge:

  • Excellent phone and in-person customer service skills
  • Administrative duties such as data entry
  • Strong computer skills, particularly using Microsoft Office
