Audio Visual Technician

Vibrent Health, a rapidly growing health-tech company is seeking an Audio/Video Technician to lead A/V function at a brand new Usability Lab. The AV technician will interact directly with clients and vendors to ensure that all AV needs are captured and delivered.

Role and Responsibilities:
The audio visual technician will be the subject matter expert for any and all technical equipment used before, during, and after Usability and Market Research sessions.
The Technician will set up, operate and maintain equipment used to enhance and record live sessions.
Be responsible for recording and live streaming sessions with audio and visual equipment.
Experience using a wide variety of web-cams and microphones.
Knowledge of sound amplifiers and the ability to adjust and monitor them based on the session.
Ability to coordinate and adjust graphics used in displays.
Provide technical support for any customer needs throughout any session.
The Technician will be required to edit, copy and store recorded sessions, track inventory of equipment and order supplies.
The Technician will assist with set up and configuration of the suites for research sessions.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education:
The Technician must be able transport, assemble, maintain and troubleshoot equipment used in multimedia productions.
The Technician must possess knowledge of, and experience with, cameras, recording equipment, lighting, sound proofing, editing equipment, computers, mobile devices and software.
Telephone support for the lab; including offsite support for recruiters is required. This includes soft phones as well.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Documents.
The Technician must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time and have good hearing and eyesight.
Customer Service and Support are paramount in this role.
The audio visual technician must be creative and flexible with strong communication skills and the ability to interact with coworkers and clients, often under tight deadlines. In addition to being proficient with computer systems used in multimedia production, the technician should possess word processing skills. The ideal candidate will be creative, flexible, respond well to pressure and most importantly be reliable.

Knowledge of wired and wireless networking, transcription software and services, cloud-based video hosting services, various display types including digital projectors, iOS and Android mobile operating systems is a must for the successful candidate. Additionally, knowledge of other software’s including, sling studio and meeting software such as Zoom or Webex are required.
