NaviHealth is seeking a strong leader to join the HR Leadership team as the Director Compensation and Benefits. This position is responsible for providing strategic direction, oversight, design, and management of the company’s compensation and benefits strategy. He/she will evaluate internal and external market trends that align with the business strategy to drive results. The Director of Compensation and Benefits will also assess and implement innovative technology solutions to support the efficient administration of compensation and benefits processes. He/she will partner with HR Business Partners and the Talent Acquisition Director to provide comprehensive support to all people managers and colleagues.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Design compensation & benefits plans that are aligned with the company’s business objectives and talent strategy, while ensuring the availability of market-driven program offerings.
Oversee all areas associated with the administration of colleague benefits programs to include, but not limited to: 401(k) savings plan, health insurance, dental, disability, basic and voluntary life insurance, employee assistance program (EAP), workers compensation and wellness programs.
Provide strategic direction in the development of competitive base and variable pay structures; job classification methodology; merit and incentive programs.
Leads a team of compensation and benefits professionals providing training, coaching, and guidance; encourages and supports manager and individual talent development.
Designs and conducts analysis of jobs, salaries, variable pay and other rewards in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of pay practices.
Provide research and analysis of benefits programs and vendors to assess cost savings and process improvements to remain competitive and in compliance with health and welfare programs.
Oversee benefits and compensation plans to meet regulatory compliance and governance/audit requirements, consults with legal resources and stays abreast of developing legislation and its potential impact.
Develops and designs effective compensation/benefits related communications to managers and colleagues.
May oversee implementation of HRIS systems related to compensation and benefits including review, testing, and system upgrades.
Develop short and mid-term strategic plans, collaborating with business owners, senior managers, and stakeholders establishing direction, defining strategies, developing policies / procedures and business processes.
Assist with managing/leveraging third party providers and activities required to administer compensation, benefits, and retirement plans.
Contribute to the development of colleague engagement by offering financial and physical wellness programs in a cost-effective manner.
Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Benefits and Compensation required.
3 – 5 years of experience leading teams
Master’s degree and Certified Compensation Professional or Certified Benefits Professional is preferred.
Strong leadership and prior HRIS experience preferred.
Knowledge of Compensation & Benefits design and administration, including related legal compliance requirements acquired through formal education or on-the-job application.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook;
Experience with MarketPay and Business Solver, a plus.
