Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
Cook and package batches of food, such as hamburgers and fried foods, which are prepared to order or kept warm until sold.
Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously.
Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.
Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles.
Pre-cook items such as bacon, in order to prepare them for later use.
Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron, and prepare and cook food according to instructions.
Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.
Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.
Order and take delivery of supplies.
Schedule activities and equipment use with managers, using information about daily menus to help coordinate cooking times.
High school or equivalent education required.
Previous cooking experience including grill, deep fryer and line orders.
A positive attitude and high level of energy,
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace.
Ability to read recipes and follow their instructions.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess basic computational ability.
Ability to describe all menu items and methods of preparation to assist servers with building revenue and guest satisfaction.
Be authorized to work in the US.
Able to work weekends, holidays and evenings.
