As the Director of Marketing at RISE Modern Wellness, you are a key contributor to our mission of positively impacting communities. Your expertise in digital marketing and local lead generation is crucial for our growth strategy, enabling the opening of new stores in diverse locations. By autonomously managing marketing KPIs and driving customer engagement, you play a vital role in expanding our reach and ensuring that our holistic wellness services positively influence individuals and communities throughout the United States.
Current Problem:
We are a rapidly expanding wellness company with three brick-and-mortar locations. We plan to open 10 additional locations by the end of 2024 and at least 25 by the end of 2025. While we have successfully acquired customers through digital channels and maintained an internal agency to support our franchisees, our current team lacks the experience and expertise to scale our service offerings for the increased number of store openings.
How You Solve This Problem:
We are actively seeking a highly experienced Director of Marketing who can take full ownership of our marketing efforts and drive our expansion goals. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that support the opening of new brick-and-mortar locations, driving in-person appointments, improving show rates, and generating local leads. They will also need to create and manage effective referral and local affiliate marketing systems. With a deep understanding of digital marketing and experience in scaling marketing efforts for service-based franchises, this person will ensure our internal agency can support the increasing number of store openings and maintain consistent growth across all locations.
What The Day To Day Looks Like For This Role:
As the Director of Marketing at RISE Modern Wellness, your daily activities will involve a dynamic blend of strategic planning, execution, and analysis. You will oversee all marketing initiatives, ensuring they align with our expansion goals and drive customer acquisition and retention. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing and managing digital marketing campaigns, coordinating local marketing efforts for new store openings, and optimizing referral and affiliate marketing systems. You will also be responsible for leveraging marketing automation tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Regular tasks will involve analyzing marketing performance metrics, adjusting strategies based on data insights, and collaborating with franchisees to support their local marketing needs. Additionally, you will recruit and build out the marketing team as needed to support the growing demands of our expanding locations. Your ability to work autonomously and drive projects from inception to completion will be crucial in contributing to the seamless functioning and continual growth of our operations.
Work Schedule Expectations:
At RISE Modern Wellness, our emphasis is on the effectiveness and progress you bring to projects rather than strict adherence to a traditional weekly work hour count. Consequently, this role does not prescribe specific working hours within the conventional 9 am to 5 pm timeframe. We prioritize individual excellence and encourage our team members to operate during hours in which they are most productive. The only expectation is that you remain accessible during regular business hours to facilitate seamless communication with vendors and internal team members. Your flexibility in optimizing your work schedule to enhance productivity is integral to our collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with business goals and drive growth.
- Digital Marketing: Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, PPC, social media, and email marketing.
- Local Lead Generation: Implement strategies to generate local leads and drive in-person appointments.
- Referral and Affiliate Systems: Create and manage effective referral and affiliate marketing systems.
- Marketing Coordination: Coordinate marketing efforts for new locations, including local content and event coordination.
- KPI Management: Own and manage marketing KPIs across the organization, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Skills Needed:
- Proven Experience in Multi-Location Marketing:
- Direct experience in growing a business that has expanded to multiple service-based brick-and-mortar locations.
- Expertise in driving in-person appointments, improving show rates, and generating online local leads.
- Autonomous and Strategic Thinker:
- Ability to take full ownership of marketing KPIs across the organization with minimal guidance.
- Capable of developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies from inception to completion.
- Digital Marketing Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, including SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, GTM, and marketing automation.
- Experience in leveraging tools like Zapier for marketing automation and efficiency.
- Existing Experience Producing Affiliate & Referral Systems:
- Skilled in creating effective local affiliate marketing systems and referral systems to drive customer acquisition and retention.
- Ability to support franchisees with localized marketing efforts, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all locations.
- Analytical and Results-Driven:
- Proficient in analyzing marketing data to measure effectiveness and optimize campaigns.
- Strong focus on achieving measurable results and continuously improving marketing performance.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Excellent leadership skills to recruit, manage, and mentor a marketing team.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with franchisees, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10-15 Years of Experience in Marketing: This includes extensive experience in digital marketing, multi-location marketing, and lead generation.
- 5-7 Years in Leadership Roles: Proven track record of managing and mentoring a marketing team, as well as collaborating with franchisees and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated Success in Multi-Location Marketing: Specific experience in growing a business to at least 50 brick-and-mortar locations and increasing same-store sales by 20% year over year.
- Digital Marketing Expertise: Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, including SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, GTM, and marketing automation. Extensive expertise in lead generation, including in-depth knowledge of lead to schedule percentages and scheduled to show percentages as individual metrics. Significant experience in enhancing each part of the funnel within digital marketing and local marketing strategies.
- Analytical and Results-Driven: Proficient in analyzing marketing data to measure effectiveness and optimize campaigns.
- Project Management Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in project management, including overseeing multiple projects concurrently.
- Independent Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Track record of working independently, making decisions, and solving problems with minimal guidance.
- Prioritization and Time Management: Strong prioritization skills to manage varying project levels, complexities, and urgencies effectively.
