Leads a team of programmers/data engineers for gathering, structuring, and analyzing data to support Discover’s modeling needs. Supports the development and automation of standard data analyses, reports, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

Responsible for gathering, structuring, and analyzing data and providing recommendations to management. Supports the development of standard data analyses, reports, and dashboards. Gathers, structures, and analyzes data from multiple sources.
Presents the results of data analyses and recommendations to management and process owners. Partners with the business to identify the appropriate data sources and analysis methodology to meet business needs.
Develops comprehensive cost-benefit analyses to capture financial and other impacts of initiatives.
Coaches and guides less experienced analytical professionals in statistical concepts, principles, and tools.
Demonstrates technical knowledge in analytical tools.
Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
4+ years of experience in programming with a concentration in Data Science, or related field
Preferred Qualifications

If we had our say, we’d also look for:
Master’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Business, Data Science, or related quantitative field
6+ years of experience in programming with a concentration in Data Science, or related field
Statistical applications such as SQL and/or SAS
