What you’ll be doing...
Responsible for the utilization of smart government electronic invoicing solutions such as Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), formerly known as Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), as well as Invoicing Processing Platform (IPP) and other invoicing portals. Electronic invoicing enables government agencies to electronically access Verizon Wireless billing and other documentation needed to generate payment for goods and services.
Perform thorough reviews of contract terms and other legal documents to ensure accurate invoicing to the customer
Retrieve bills from various billing systems to facilitate the invoicing process
Research outstanding accounts to determine months that need to be invoiced
Respond to all email communications in the team mailbox and ensure workflow mailbox service level expectations are met
Maintain accurate records to endure proper identification, tracking and audit of customer accounts and electronic invoicing
Partner with other internal departments to provide root cause analysis and recommendations to increase invoicing accuracy and minimize delayed billings
Attend weekly/monthly meetings regarding customer receivable statuses and funding and billing projects
Show demonstrated understanding of the billing and collection cycles and the impact on external financial statements
Identify ways to automate and eliminate manual efforts in the electronic invoicing processing
Perform special projects as needed
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Associate’s degree and/or two or more years of work experience with government billing and government procurement processes and contract management
Proven experience in Excel and Google G Suite
Even better if you have:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related Business concentration
2+ years wireless telecom experience
Professional and effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be proactive, take initiative and follow through with all projects and responsibilities.
Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
The ability to work independently and in a team environment and open atmosphere and be flexible an adapt to changing deliverables and priorities
Strong work ethic and self motivated
