Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Director of Chemical Dependency Services to oversee multiple-county residential chemical dependency programs. This position is located in the Hattiesburg area. The Director of Chemical Dependency Services plays a vital role at Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources in providing supervision and oversight to the program, including developing and implementing budgets, grant applications, and specialty programs; providing staff supervision and community outreach; and analyzing data and implementing plans to address patterns and trends. The ideal candidate would possess a strong understanding of treatment for alcohol and substance use therapy including the twelve (12) steps program, trauma care, and other Evidence-Based Practices.
The hours for this position are typically M-F, 8a-5p. Some after hours responsibilities and overnight travel are required.
For 40 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt. Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children and youth with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. Our ten county service area includes Forrest, Jones, Lamar, Covington, Greene, Jeff Davis, Marion, Perry, Pearl River, and Wayne Counties.
Master's degree in behavioral health field with professional license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) required
A minimum of five (5) years of mental health supervisory experience required with experience in clinical, financial, and operational management
Experience creating/maintaining budgets and data required
Ability to verbalize and apply knowledge of disease concept of addiction to chemical dependency and dual diagnosis population
Ability to communicate on executive level in both written and verbal format
Experience working with Veteran programs and Department of Labor a plus
Knowledge of CARF standards a plus
Use of a personal car, ability to obtain a MS driver's license, appropriate auto liability insurance, and a clean driving record are required
Responsible for strategic planning; financial management; overall operational, marketing, and clinical management for adult residential chemical dependency program.
Develops and manages financial budgets and reports to the Executive Director.
Conducts staff meetings; oversee attainment of goals for the program.
Provides general consultation, education, and advocacy to other community agencies.
