About JST and the role.
JST is a privately-owned Trucking and Transportation company founded in 1992 by the current owner’s father. JST has offices in Northern/Southern Maine, Woburn MA, Franklin MA and we operate directly out of the Milford MA and Dedham MA Amazon.com last mile distribution centers. We have grown at a rapid pace over the last 2 years and are looking for someone with a solid HR background to help keep us compliant with local and federal laws as well as assist us with strategy. The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with JST Transportation Inc’ management in supporting designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

This position has one direct report but also serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the company.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a Full-Time Day Shift Position. Monday-Friday. However due to business need there are occasions when Evenings and Weekends would be needed.
It is expected that once a week the HR Generalist checks in to Dedham MA and Milford MA where most of our employees are based out of. The office you would be working out of mostly is in Franklin MA
