FCI has an immediate opening for a full-time Junior Systems Engineer. This position is located in Millersville, MD and will support our customer, the Defense Information System Agency (DISA).

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Review incoming Mission Partner system requirements.
Coordinate with Network, Software, Storage, and Information Assurance engineers to develop solutions to support incoming Mission Partner workloads.
Create Final Technical Solution documents to be used for Letter Estimate generation for the Mission Partners
Participate in design review meetings with both Mission Partners and DISA project leads.
Acts as Technical Lead for designated projects in pre and post implementation efforts.
Maintain and update Defense Enterprise Portal Service (DEPS) project status on all assigned projects.
Other duties as assigned

Basic qualifications for this position:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience with engineering solutions using server technologies such as Microsoft Server/Windows, SUSE/Red Hat Linux, VMware, and Cloud Computing.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A thorough understanding of Enterprise Virtualized infrastructure, Server, and SAN storage architecture.
Excellent analytic and troubleshooting skills for problems that span multiple domains (application, network, system, hardware)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites including SharePoint interface
Able to work with and appropriately protect classified and proprietary information
Strong organization skills; Ability to write procedures in a logical/methodical manner
As position requires extensive direct client contact, excellent attention to detail and communication skills are a must
Basic project management skills
Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and will be required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:
Advanced systems certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, VCP, CLE (Preferred)
Security certifications such as Security+, CEH, and/or CISSP (Preferred)
