This is a role for someone who craves a global challenge balanced by the desire to be accountable for delivering against the model in the largest business unit for Kraft Heinz. It is both a strategic and a tactical position. Those that do not want to get their hands dirty or build out a function against a blank slate without buying pre-packaged solutions should not apply.

Job Overview/Scope :
Under the direction of the Plant Manager and on the Plant Leadership Team, the Engineering/CI Manager will provide leadership to the site for both direct cost reduction programs and plant blanket capital projects.

Primary Responsibilities :
Leads and executes breakthrough and incremental improvement projects in the plant. Responsible for identification/execution of productivity within the facility.
Engages line/process/department personnel in all phases of improvement efforts (including Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC projects, line balancing, creating standard work, and daily work improvements). Develops and applies necessary technical skills to deliver improvement results (such as lean, 6Sigma, etc.)
Coordinate major initiatives across the supply chain to insure optimum cost. This coordination will include, but not be limited to, purchasing, distribution, manufacturing, R&D, packaging and engineering.
Develop long range (3 year) capital plan to ensure QCDSM objectives are met.
Lead the plant project engineering team to develop the annual capital plan; manage monthly capital cash flow; and develop/execute capital projects following the Kraft Heinz engineering playbook.
Coordinates equipment and construction specification with vendors and corporate project engineers to ensure maintenance avoidance on equipment purchases and ensure that new equipment meets requirement of OSHA, Sanitation, Quality, Maintenance and Production.
Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the plant accountability list.
Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.

Requirements :
Bachelors level degree is required; Bachelor degree in Engineering is preferred
Strong project & change management skills
Excellent organization & prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
Strong analytical/critical thinking
Green Belt Certification preferred.
Working knowledge of business principles and practices.
Must be able to work flexible hours; days, afternoons, overnights, and weekend work.
