Position Title: VP - Engineering and Operations – Fiber Solutions (Central, South, West) Region
This position is responsible for the day to day activities and forward growth of the regionally based fiber engineering and field operational teams within one of the four geographic regions of CCF (East, Central, South, and West). We are currently looking to staff in the Central, South and West Regions. The regionally based teams perform their duties within the service territory and focus on delivering and maintaining products and services that are consistent with all defined standard operating processes and procedures. Each region operates under a detailed capital and operational expense budget with objectives to manage within its limits to satisfy the financial targets of the business. The position will work with all operational and engineering functional areas on improving the quality of processes, deliverables and the end-to-end customer experience. Common activities will involve regional data identification, collection, analysis, and reporting; along with understanding operational business functions and processes. Each regional engineering and operations team is expected to maintain open communication across all regions and work as a unit with consistency while delivering and maintaining services; cognizant of national engineering standards and operational practices.
Essential Job Functions
Directly manage regional leaders of fiber design, fiber construction and field (break/fix) operations teams.
Track and forecast Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of deliverables and supporting workflows in order to measure operational performance, as well as, identify and assess areas of opportunity for improved process efficiencies and performance.
Interface with and focus on the strategic growth and development of the region in partnership with the regional sales leadership; and foster an environment focused on continued network growth and expansion.
This position will also monitor and analyze quality metrics across people, network deployments, process and technology, as well as participate in recommending and making changes based upon results for best practice implementation.
Maintain knowledge of technology in use, and/or under development for its impact or potential impact on the operational business process.
Collaboratively work with other members of the Tower/Small Cell Operations, Network Operations, Network Engineering, and Sales teams.
Develop and manage the Regional CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
Overall responsibility for the regional office environment with a focus and strict adherence to all work place standards and policies.
Create new executive relationships with key customers and vendors and maintain existing relationships in order to have access to information that will enable the company to respond to changing environments and outperform competition.
Maintain constant and clear three-way communications on important business processes, procedures, standards and objectives between Crown Castle HQ, the region and the region’s teams. Facilitate the resolution of any issues between these organizations.
Develop high-performing region teams by overseeing region performance management processes, including hiring/terminations, ongoing development feedback, performance reviews, rewards and recognition, employee development and succession planning, appropriate technical and management/leadership training, overall area employee satisfaction.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Master’s degree in related discipline preferred.
Ten (10) or more years of executive experience in the wireless/telecommunications industry.
Prior experience managing large teams with engineering and operational experience.
Extensive profit & loss management responsibility in a dynamic organization, including financial analysis and budget development.
Extensive knowledge of site acquisition, zoning, and construction management procedures.
Prior experience managing a multi-state organization and remote reporting relationships.
Proven track record with implementing innovative approaches to business problems.

Working Conditions: Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions the majority of the time, however, regular site visits may be necessary.
