Job Description
Directs Brand Marketing initiatives based on organizational strategic objective to move St. Jude from a strong brand to iconic status. Responsible for strategically managing and driving the St. Jude brand strategy, paid advertising/media and brand management resulting in increased St. Jude brand awareness and fundraising. This role is responsible for managing the St. Jude Brand team who are planning and executing brand messaging, visual content strategy, paid advertising, PSAs, brand guidelines and education. Requires a complete understanding of branding, advertising, paid media, research, analytics, marketing mix methodologies, and brand management and how each is used for the most efficient or effective ROI to meet a business or marketing challenge. Manages a multimillion paid media budget. Works closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, ALSAC senior leadership team, Marketing Leadership and executives at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to manage the St. Jude brand and reputation.

Requirements:
Advanced understanding of branding, marketing, advertising and general management methods, including aspects specific or unique to non-profit agencies;
Demonstrated ability to speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations; understand extremely complex verbal or written instructions;
Thorough grasp of rhetorical tools used in public relations and marketing communications; highest level of proficiency in English spelling, grammar and usage;
News writing and editing knowledge;
Excellent typing and proofreading skills;
Working knowledge of desktop publishing; detailed knowledge of all mediums of communications and tools used in research, creation, production and distribution of end products; strong working knowledge of trademark and copyright law;
General knowledge of purchasing and inventory control;
Knowledge ordinarily acquired through attainment of a Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years’ experience in Marketing, Communications and/or Public Relations including at least 1 year supervisory experience involving budgeting, strategic planning, organizational development and cost control;
Possess excellent diplomatic skills; MBA preferred;
Requires a valid driver's license.
