JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for multiple Lead Installers to install technology systems in sports venues around the US. The candidates chosen for this role will build and strengthen a broad array of skills, including: problem solving, computer technology, understanding of sports broadcasting, video/audio technology, knowledge of real-time data processing, & live broadcast environments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Install technology systems in sports stadiums/parks that provide live information for the Internet, television broadcasts, and DRE
Assist in maintaining the infrastructure for data, network, and broadcast systems
Interact with venue staff, broadcast engineers, system operators and technical support to resolve system issues.
Create system documentation for each installation
Participate in preventive maintenance process
Support remote installation of hardware and software
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience installing camera systems preferred
Experience installing cabling preferred
Additional requirements include:
A valid driver’s license.
Willingness to work weekends
Extensive travel
Willing to work non-traditional business hours when necessary, including nights and weekends.
Proof of vaccination for Covid-19 (required to work remote production events)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Well organized, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working on a catwalks (height 90-120 ft), lifts, and ladders
Proficient with power tools
Familiar with principals of electricity
Familiar with terminating copper cable: coax, CAT
Fiber termination skills a plus, or ability to pass a fiber termination class
Comfortable lifting heavy objects
Willingness to learn new skills
Structural knowledgebase to determine appropriate mounting of cameras and hardware
General knowledge of computer components and Windows Operating System.
Good understanding of professional sports a plus. (Hockey, football, motorsports, & baseball)
General knowledge of the remote production and live sporting event environments a plus.
