The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.

The Softward Test Engineer designs, implements, and conducts test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met. You'll coordinate regression testing prior to each release. You may also evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies. In addition, you may be responsible for creating automated test scripts and leading the test harness, incorporating open source toolsets when possible to develop automated test scripts. They will work to identify, develop and version-control new automated and manual functional and regression test scripts Level (entry, journeyman, senior, master) will be determined based on education and years of experience.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Active TS/SCI clearance + CI Polygraph.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in software and/or data testing.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skill; ability to work well across teams.
Strong analytical skills - understand business processes and issues from business users.

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

Experience with Agile software development.
Knowledge of automated testing software and experience implementing/operating automated software testing.
Possesses a good understanding of application programming, database, system design, operating systems and networking.
Demonstrated ability to formulate and document test strategy, test plan, test cases, test reports.
Experience with the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence).
