The Seal Specialist –Team Leader is responsible for leveraging seal expertise to profitably grow our OEM, end user, and distributor sales via various business development strategies. The seal specialist will have direct account responsibilities within the region and work as sales support specialist for his or her region(s). The seal specialist will collect and organize sales activity, opportunities, issues, challenges and annual business plans from the other seal specialists nationally and will communicate one combined set of these elements to Sales and Product Management leadership.
The Seal Specialist –Team Leader will have dotted line management responsibility for other Seals Specialists in the company, approximately four.
Drive and grow Timken sales within region(s)
Establish Business Development Plan for Region(s)
Be part of the regional team driving awareness and championing seal activity
Conduct seal training within region
Provide specialist support for Territory Managers
Branch sales & programs – Drive branch programs in collaboration with Territory Managers
Work with Timken local reps to carry through programs at branch level
Drive branch level training programs
Focus on end user value creation and drive joint sales calls
Actively support corporate distribution programs
Work at corporate level to establish Timken as #1 seal brannd
Ensure stocking of core product range at distribution centers
Manage pricing strategy to ensure competitiveness – corporate & branch level
Ensure all systems – corporate & branches are set up to support programs and sales of Timken seals.
Provide sales support to OEMs per defined regions for existing and new OE customers
Serve as the product and application expert
Collaborate heavily with Timken Product managers to ensure product alignment and project advancement.
Serve as lead facilitator for product training on seals and related projects
Work with Territory Managers to map seal market size based on product, industry, and geography
Assist in identifying gaps in our product offering and prioritize future development opportunities
Identifying and providing customer feedback on areas of opportunities within markets
Collect and organize sales activity, opportunities, issues, challenges and annual business plans from the other seal specialists nationally and will communicate one combined set of these elements to Sales and Product Management leadership
LOCATION AND REPORTING STRUCTURE
- Regional support for Central Region.
- Position will report to Regional Manager in Central Region.
- Preferred Geographic location is Houston or Dallas, Texas for customer concentricity and access to Houston or Dallas airport.

Bachelor degree with 12 years of experience or masters with 10 years of experience.
