Responsibilities
  • Prepares detailed drawings of company products utilizing CAD software
  • Working as part of a team, prepares detailed outline drawings of tank level indicator chamber products for customer review
  • Provides detailed assembly drawings of welded piping and flange assemblies for fabrication production facility
  • Under minimal supervision, creates new mechanical drawings of piping and flange assemblies from existing hardcopy drawings with mark-ups
  • Modifies existing drawing files and Bill of Materials according to mark-ups on existing hardcopy drawings
  • Saves drawing files and other documents to shared network folder
  • Using hardcopy documents, enters and tracks work order information in Excel spreadsheet
  • Prepares hardcopy drawing and work order packages
  • Perform work of a miscellaneous nature as required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of related experience in mechanical drafting OR
  • College Certificate of Completion in CAD Drafting and 1 year of related experience in mechanical drafting
  • Ability to interpret ASME flange pressure/temperature rating tables and pipe schedule rating charts and perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Experience with level instrumentation, piping or tank assemblies, welding, or machining preferred
  • Experience with ProE and 3D drafting a plus
