As a Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in the quality control and assurance processes of our cannabis production. You will be responsible for performing oil blends and oil infusions to meet demand. Additionally, you will use your knowledge in laboratory techniques and meticulous attention to detail to consistently produce exceptional cannabis products of the highest quality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Intake and verify weights of incoming oils and concentrates

Perform sample preparation according to standard operating procedures

Maintain accurate records of test results, analytical procedures and equipment maintenance activities

Straining (flavoring) distillate when requested

Blending and homogenizing large batches of oils when as requested per the production schedule

Infuse cannabis products to carrier oils as needed

Assist with Research & Development requests from product team

Maintain, clean, and organize lab tools and utensils

Reclaim ethanol by using a rotary evaporator

Participate in R&D projects and experiments to gain a better understanding of products

Use the ERP software (Acumatica) to create purchase receipts, production orders, kit assemblies and repacks

Collect and package product that will be shipped to co-packers or partners

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements when handling cannabis products
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

Ability to think outside the box to solve simple and/or complex problems

Strong track record of effective collaboration in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as chemistry, biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related discipline preferred or comparable experience

Proficient in algebraic concepts and equations

Intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems

Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment relevant to the specific industry or field (e.g., cannabis testing, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology)

Basic knowledge of cannabis extracts is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Comfortable with being able to handle glass jars that may reach over 100°C (212°F) with company provided PPE

Comfortable working with hazardous solvents

Able to lift up to100 lbs

Able to twist, turn, and bend

Able to work in environments with variable temperatures
