SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Marketing/Graphics Coordinator for SMG/Peoria Civic Center. Responsible for creating, delivering and managing marketing messages for both ticketed events and convention center events within the facility and through various external channels. This position works directly with the Senior Marketing Manager and the Director of Sales and Marketing on all activities throughout the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage, including removing old events, updating copy and adding new events as requested, posting public meeting information as needed
Manage all Peoria Civic Center social media pages, creating content, engaging with fans and monitoring comments
Manage Peoria Civic Center email database
Localize and create graphics as needed
Assist Business Development Manager with creative and execution of promotions
Create video content featuring upcoming events and clients as needed
Act as venue photographer for ticketed events, including escorting media as needed
Work with Director of Sales and Marketing and Director of Food and Beverage to update photo stock as needed
Localize TV/Radio spots as needed
Manage Backstage Access blog, featuring interviews with upcoming events, staff and other PR messaging
Coordinate and maintain messages on Internal TV systems including Screenly TV's and outdoor marquee and portable TV's as needed
Maintain creative delivery schedule arena video board operator to promote upcoming events
Maintain stock of printed materials and posters around facility, including poster boxes, backlits, quarter sheet flyers, pop up banners, toilet talks etc
Manage show programs/playbills as needed
Assist with ticketed event marketing campaigns as needed
Manage the creative materials for ad campaigns and venue marketing.
Design and create print advertising materials and direct mail pieces, plus any in-house video projects and other graphic design projects
Responsible for website graphic art maintenance.

Secondary Responsibilities

Assist tenant teams with creative messaging as needed
Assist with researching the marketability of possible events.
Assist with general administrative and various sales duties as necessary.
Gather quotes from printers on special projects.
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Multi-media design or related field preferred.
Videography and photography experience is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Basic Graphic Design skills are preferred
Experience with website maintenance and publishing
Marketing related experience or evidence of interest in field required.
Creativity and resourcefulness a must.
Ability to work in a very fast paced environment.
Knowledge Adobe design software is a requirement
Video editing experience is a plus.
Creativity and resourcefulness a must.

Working Conditions

This position is not substantially exposed to adverse conditions. Hours of work may vary due to event coverage, with the core hours between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Large projects and urgent deadlines may impact schedule. Person must have ability to use computer keyboard as well as visual acuity to view and analyze data and figures.
