Your Role and Responsibilities
The Chief Architect for Mainframe Modernisation (f/m/x) will be leading and coordinating the pre-sales activities for projects with high revenue generation in the Digital Banking and Payments sector. The successful candidate will be responsible from strategy development to delivery for ensuring our financial services clients’ satisfaction.
You will help senior executives and payments leaders determine where to compete, how to differentiate, and how to innovate business models and technology platforms by taking advantage of digital and new technologies. You will support the implementation and modernization of large-scale digital payments platforms for global and super regional banks. A successful candidate will have experience consulting to large enterprises on Payments & Technology Strategy.
Highly experienced in digital banking and financial services sector with strong business acumen about the enterprise/infrastructure architecture
Practice for conducting enterprise analysis, design, planning, solutioning and implementation using holistic approach for development and execution of strategy through applying architecture principles
Experienced in performing the analysis of digital banking business structure and processes to address effectiveness, efficiency, agility, and durability
Experience in Building Digital Banking, Core Banking Modernization, Micro Services, API Framework, and BIAN APIS, Dev Ops, Cloud Native, Tool Chain, Business and Functional Componentization
Specialized in architecture and digital banking business transformation, strategy development, business model innovation, service design and architecture, operating model design and transformation planning
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex problems in a comprehensive fashion for a variety of audiences, forming a bridge between business units and technical teams
Award winning personality with the ability to lead technical delivery teams and influence executive clients
Financial Services expertise in any digital retail banking services e.g. mortgages, credit, payments
Strong preference for qualifications in organizational, project and program management planning skills and Bachelors / Masters in a Computer Science related subject
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Key Experiences/ Background:
Multi-year hands-on experience in designing / developing/ maintaining of large scale mainframe application landscapes in the Banking Industry
Enterprise, Application and Data Architecture Software Engineering Process on zOS Online and batch Non functional requirements management (work load, throughout put, performance)
Experience Lead developer experience as alternative
zOS, CICS, MQ, DB2, IMS, JCL /Batch, SCLM, ISPF, CA Endevor Cobol, PL/1,
Assembler (programming not required but understanding of the languages to assess code quality etc)
Source Code and Data analysis tools (e.g. CAST, ADDI)
Modernization patterns (de-coupling options, migration paths like Microfocus Cobol, Cobol to Java, Java on zLinux)
Languages: German and English fluently
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Team player and team leadership
Well known in the market (Banks and ISVs)
Good digital reputation
